Similan Islands

The province is located on the west side of the Malay Peninsula, and includes many islands of the Phang Nga Bay. The most famous one is the so-called James Bond Island, a needle formed limestone rock in the sea, which featured in the 1974 movie The Man with the Golden Gun. The Ao Phang-Nga (Phang-Nga Bay) National Park was established in 1981 to protect the many fascinating islands. The Similan Islands, one of Thailand’s main diving destinations, are also part of Phang Nga province.

Floating Markets Near Bangkok

Thailand’s remaining floating markets are an enduring symbol of what life was like in days gone by. The popular floating market in Ratchaburi, known as Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, is one of Thailand’s largest. Sellers arrive early in their boats laden with tropical fruits, flowers and other fresh produce, creating an exuberant and vividly colorful scene that has been captured by photographers the world over. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is 110 km (68 mi) west of Bangkok.

Phi Phi Islands

The Phi Phi Islands are located in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the western Andaman Sea coast of the mainland. Ko Phi Phi comprises 6 islands, 2 of them are the main island – Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le.. The main accomodation area is at Ton Sai Bay. Phi Phi Island is a popular place for diving and snorkeling, kayaking and other marine recreational activities. There are some beautiful beaches with fantastic views and coral reefs for snorkeling and diving. On Phi Phi Le, Maya Bay is also worth a visit.

Doi Suthep

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. The temple is often referred to as “Doi Suthep” although this is actually the name of the mountain it is located on. The temple is located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the city of Chiang Mai and is a sacred site to many Thai people.

Railay Beach

Railay Beach is a small peninsula located between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang in Thailand. Accessible only by boat due to the high limestone cliffs cutting off mainland access. These cliffs attract rock climbers from all over the world, but the area is also popular due to its beautiful beaches and quiet relaxing atmosphere.
